Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Runemarks & Goblin Secrets

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

Coming at you with a couple of middle-grade reads today. Found both of these used and in good condition, too!

Runemarks by Joanne Harris has maps by David Wyatt and jacket and case art by John Hendrix. Published in 2008 by Knopf, ISBN: 978037584447.

Goblin Secrets by William Alexander has a jacket illustration by Erwin Madrid. Published in 2012 by McElderly Books, I forgot to take down the ISBN on this one and I’m too lazy to look it up!
