September Wrap Up

September!

This month I read 18 books for a total of 3,711 pages and an average of 124 pages per day. Whew! I’m still experimenting with audiobooks and while I’m more interested in listening to them, I’m still really picky (for instance, I hated the voices in The Hobbit). My favorites this month were The Punch Escrow and Sea of Rust and I couldn’t be happier to finally be done with the damn Dark Tower series. UGH.

August Wrap Up

In August I read 15 books for a total of 3,361 pages and an average of 118 pages per day. I actually listened to 4 audiobooks this month – I’m still experimenting to see if they’re something “for me.” As of right now, I’m still mostly listening to books I’ve already read or ones I’m only half interested in because I only half pay attention when listening. The standout book of the month for me was Cold Counsel. I’m still dragging my feet along the path of the Beam, slowly but surely. I’ve also added DNF number 6 to my list (though I still think I’m missing at least one from before I started tracking this.)

July Wrap Up

This month I read 19 books for a total of 5,108 pages and an average of 165 pages. Holy crap! I had an unexpectedly great reading month. Granted 8 books were graphic novels, but if you didn’t count those (which, I of course, totally do), 11 is still impressive. I read some great books this month but tops were definitely A Closed and Common Orbit and The Sparrow. Least favorite by far was Tender Morsels.

May Wrap Up

May!

This month I read 9 books for a total of 2,882 pages and an average of 93 pages per day. I started my journey to the Dark Tower and while I was loving the setting (well, most of it) and intrigued by the ideas in book one, books two and three left me dragging my heels. I am soldering on though! Why? Who the hell knows. My favorite read was Lady Trent’s memoir, In The Labyrinth of Drakes, but Bad Monkeys was a close second.

March Wrap Up

March!

This month I read 14 books for a total of 3,885 pages and an average of 125 pages per day. Boy am I happy with this month’s turnout! It was largely due to focusing on middle-grade, but it also helped me cross more books off my TBR, some of which have been gathering dust (literally and figuratively.) Sadly, much of the middle-grade I read didn’t wow me, but Tanith saved the day. Arabella and Bats were huge hits for me too.
